In-Mask Air Integrated Dive Computer Technology. The CompuMask HUD Mask contains a miniature liquid crystal display (LCD) panel, proprietary in-mask Digital Optic System, microprocessor, depth transducer, wireless cylinder pressure receiver, diver replaceable battery, and controlling software. The Digital Optic System allows you to keep your eyes focused on the dive while presenting critical dive data including: current depth, elapsed dive time, cylinder pressure, and dive time remaining. The optical lens provides a clear, highly magnified image of the LCD, which is viewable regardless of environmental conditions and may be seen clearly by the vast majority of people, regardless of vision.

My first thought about this product was that it was just another dive “gimmick,” something not necessary that would not serve a purpose or be problematic. On my first dive I was annoyed that the display was too dim. After turning the brightness from 1% to 100% I had no problems at all. It was very easy to read and the screen provided only the info I wanted, not cluttered with a bunch of useless information. My first dive was a planned decompression dive to depths past 130 ft. I was pleased that this computer had a Gauge Mode that was very easy to access for the planned decompression. Once at depth I was able to read the display in pitch-black conditions without the back light due to the lit digits. At depth it performed flawlessly. The transmitter for tank pressure never lost signal and my alarms for turn pressure and max depth worked as planned. During a night training dive at the Blue Hole in Santa Rosa, the display was a great asset. It allowed me to view all my important information while never taking an eye off my students. So, not only is this a great dive computer for just about any diving, but can also improve your comfort and safety levels by allowing you to have access to all of your dive information while also keeping an eye on what you are doing.
