Tech
Diving
Divers Reef now offers
technical diving classes through TDI (Technical
Diving International) and has added Dive Rite
equipment to meet the needs of these new courses.
Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Diving are the
first two courses you'll want to get into.
What do these courses
give you? The Advanced Nitrox course examines
the use of EAN (Enriched Air Nitrox) 21% through
100% (oxygen) for optimal mixes to a depth of
150 feet. The course will train divers in the
benefits, hazards and proper training procedures
for utilizing EAN 21% through 100% for dives not
requiring staged decompression stops. The Decompression
Diving course examines the theory, methods and
procedures of planned stage decompression diving.
This program is designed as a stand alone course
or it may be taught in conjunction with such TDI
courses as the Advanced Nitrox course, Advanced
Wreck Diving course, or Extended Range course.
The objective of the Decompression Diving course
is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard
staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum
depth of 150 feet.
Where do you dive at 150
feet around here? Divers Reef has access to Rock
Lake in santa Rosa, New Mexico. This lake is a
64 degree warm water spring year around just like
the Blue Hole, but is 280 feet deep and about
5 times wider. If you have your Advanced Nitrox
and Decompression you need to practice your new
technical diving skills at Rock Lake. If you are
interested in these courses, call Divers Reef
to reserve your spot in the class orientation
and find out more about this exciting experience.
